  7. 7. Curriculum Vitae

Born 1st of January 1955 in Uzhhorod, Transcarpathia.  In 1972 graduated from the secondary school No1 (named after Taras Shevchenko) of, in 1977 graduated (Summa cum laude) from Faculty of Physics of Uzhhorod State University. After graduating from University worked as an engineer at the research and scientific center of Uzhhorod University. From 1978 to 1981 studied at postgraduate study at Department of Theoretical physics of Uzhhorod State University under the supervision of Professor Lengyel V.I. He worked in the area of quantum scattering theory. He has developed a semiclassical version of the asymptotic theory of atomic collisions for the description of the inelastic one- and two-electronic processes in a collision of multiply charged ions with atoms, diatomic molecules, and polar molecules. This allows describing on the unique basis a wide range of inelastic processes of two-electron charge exchange and charge exchange with excitations at low-energetic atomic particles.
He has found and studied a new process of two-electron Auger decay of atomic ionization in a permanent electric field related to correlated electronic transitions.
After completing the postgraduate study Karbovanets M.I. worked as a researcher at Department of theoretical physics of the Uzhhorod State University. In 1984 graduated from the Faculty of higher qualification on new perspective directions in science and technology of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

On April 16, 1987, at Leningrad State University (now S-Petersburg State university) Karbovanets M.I. defended the thesis  “Two-electron processes of charge-exchange and decays of atomic particles” to obtain the scientific degree the Candidate of Science in physics and mathematics. On January 6, 1988, he received the scientific degree of the Candidate of Science in physics and mathematics.

In the year 1989 Karbovanets has been elected as a senior researcher of the laboratory of the Scientific Research Laboratory he conducted a theoretical investigation in the framework of the state scientific program „High energy physics“. In the framework of this program, he investigated the mechanism of the Chiral-gauge dynamics, lepton decays of the neutral kaons, the role of vector and axial-vector states in the low-energetic hadronic physics.
From September 1999, M.I. Karbovanets work as a senior lecturer at Department of Theoretical physics at Uzhhorod State University and starting from February 1st, 2001, on the position of a docent.  From 2003 elected on the position of docent of the Department of theoretical physics.
The academic title of docent has been received in 2008 (diploma 12 ДЦ № 021074). From September 2009 until now worked as vice-dean on pedagogic of the Department of Physics. On May 2017, has been elected on the position of the chair of the Department of Theoretical physic. Received the title of the Excellence of education of Ukraine. During the period from 2007-2019 participated in 19 international scientific conferences. Member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Herald of Uzhhorod University, series „Physics“.
For significant contribution to the development of the science and education of the region Karbovanets M.I. has been awarded a Certificate of honor and Letter of thanks from Transcarpathian regional state administration and Ministry of science and education of Ukraine. Docent Karbovanets authored two monographs on quantum scattering theory of atomic particles and more than 80 scientific publications and tutorials.
